The development lies on the western edge of the Lake District national park and marks Workington’s 1st national budget hotel increasing hotel accommodation for tourists and commuters in the area. To compliment the development an area of green space will be preserved at the western end of the site to help retain views of the nearby St Michael’s Church and The Old Rectory.
